DESCRIPTION

Dragging a file to another Dolphin window and dropping it in another window
where the cursor's final position is over "white space" (not over any text) in
the pane results in no action.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open 2 Dolphin windows, and place them in "Details" view.
2. Select a file in window 1.
3. Drag the file to window 2.
4. Drop the file in any "white space" in window 2 (that is, NOT over any
text).
4. Observe cursor change to red circle with diagonal line ("forbidden"
international symbol).

OBSERVED RESULT

No action results from the drag-and-drop. The target file remains in its
original location in the source directory in the originating Dolphin window.

EXPECTED RESULT

The expected result is that the context menu should appear with options to
move, copy, and so forth, in the destination directory shown in the target
Dolphin window.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window):
$ kinfo
Operating System: Fedora Linux 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0
Qt Version: 6.10.3
Kernel Version: 7.0.4-200.fc44.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (27.1 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

First noticed this bug immediately upon upgrading to Fedora 44, rebooting,
updating packages, rebooting. Thus, this is a regression from Fedora 43.

The only way to make the drag-and-drop work is to drop the file onto "blank"
space in the destination Dolphin file view pane. In the attached screen grab,
one would have to drop the file in the "white space" at the far right, in the
"empty" column to the right of the "Permissions" column in the file view pane.

In all other places, Dolphin thinks that the user is trying to drop the file
onto an existing file, namely the file represented in the row where the cursor
lands in the destination Dolphin file view pane.

If the destination Dolphin window's file view is in "Icons" view, one can make
the drag-and-drop work. Simply drop the file (final position of cursor) onto
any white space (not over any file icon).
