            Bug ID: 520132
Summary: Editing Markdown documents with math symbols may lead
                    to a faulty live preview
    Classification: Applications
           Product: ghostwriter
      Version First 26.04.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other

          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general

  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION

While editing a Markdown document that uses math symbols, the live preview in
Ghostwriter can display a paragraph with such symbols incorrectly after
inserting and deleting text in that paragraph. For instance, the preview may
repeat the last part of the paragraph each time the paragraph is edited. The
following steps show one example of this phenomenon.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. In Ghostwriter, ensure that the live preview is visible (select View > Live
Preview if necessary.)

2. Create a new document, and paste the following text in the editor (from the
"-" to the last "h"):

- cccc _xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_ yyyyyyyyy _f_, zzzzzzz $\omega_1(\delta)$ hhhhhhh

3. Delete eight x's from the text.

4. Insert a few spaces between the z's in the text (so that "zzzzzzz" becomes
"zzzz zzzz", for example).

5. Observe how the preview seems to repeat the last part of the text,
incorrectly.
