            Bug ID: 520135
           Summary: Wrong automatic fractional scale
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First 6.6.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: multi-screen
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi, I first noticed this bug in version 6.3 when fractional scaling was greatly
improved. It's still present in Fedora 44 and Plasma 6.6.
I have a 14" Lenovo Yoga 7 ARP8 laptop with a 1920x1200 display that uses 125%
scaling.
GNOME 50 and Plasma < 6.3 set this value as soon as the live ISO was booted and
the system was installed with the proper fractional scale.
However, in the latest versions, it's set to 100% otb, which is definitely too
low.

I can now change it in both Plasma-Shell and PLM, but a less technical user
might find it distracting initially.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window): Fedora 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.4
