I think it would also help to know what sort of file you are saving and with what application. Does it also happen if you copy "that file" somewhere else? Can the application save in different formats and does it also happen with those? Mostly baloo_file_extractor uses plugins to extract the plain text and I've not seen anything popping up on the screen.
