Animated GIF of date-changing behavior

I am experiencing this exact issue in digiKam version 8.8.0.

When adjusting the "Date Taken" field in the sidebar properties panel for
scanned historical photographs, digiKam automatically overwrites the
"DateTimeDigitized" field to match.

For historical scans, these two fields must remain strictly decoupled. The
original creation date (e.g., when the photo was shot on film in 1980) and the
digitization date (e.g., when the print was physically scanned in 2026) are
inherently different. The sidebar should not force them to link.
