            Bug ID: 520227
Summary: startplasma-wayland hangs if it's started at an
                    inactive virtual terminal.
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First 6.6.4
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: wayland-generic
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

I've recently upgraded (from 6.5 I believe), and I've noted that this version
of KDE hangs when a wayland session is started (using command
startplasma-wayland) on a virtual terminal which is not currently active.

I've started KDE using a systemd unit (which executes startplasma-wayland) and
is enabled at startup. But the default tty is /dev/tty1 (alt-ctrl-f1). As a
result it hangs. Plasma start at tty7.

As a workaround, I've created a systemd unit which executes chvt 7 before kde
starts.

Operating System: Gentoo
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.4
Qt Version: 6.10.3
Kernel: 6.12.73
