DESCRIPTION
I cannot run Plasma in Fedora after day of using.
I installed Fedora KDE edition, used one of day, till this time I just edited
list of GUI apps, choosed cursor and splash screen theme and even rebooted
after this. To first time reboots work well.
But in the next morning I tried to Power On my laptop. GRUB successfully runned
system. Plymouth normally displays animation. SDDM successfully runned, but
when I choose Plasma and clicked log in, after two seconds in the reaction it
returned to SDDM.
Rebooting does not help.
After I installed Fedora XFCE, XFCe works well. I decided install
plasma-desktop from DNF, and in the next day I receive similar that with Fedora
KDE before, but with LightDM.
I even changed timeout of GRUB to ) seconds and setted to auto-login in
SDDM/LightDM, but It have similar, and after when Plymouth stop display
animation(plytmouth displays, but without animation), helps only hotkeys to
switch TTY, in which work DM and login to other DE, Plasma not accessible.
I reproduced in Fedora 40,41,42. To the note when I installed in external SSD
disc and use booted from them,
Plasma , installed in external SSD not crashes.
After I heard about Ultramarine Linux and switched into in. Here I could not
reproduce this problem, but
sometimes once a week I seen splash in screen(plasmashell restarted) and I seen
note from DRKonqi what "Plasmashell crashed".
I don`t plans now return to Fedora, because I will see similar.
After this bugs I installed EndeavourOS, where Plasma works excellent, without
bugs.
