Summary: Weather widget forces NOAA provider for Mexicali
(MMML) and freezes, ignoring other providers
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.6.5
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Weather widget

Screenshot of the weather widget frozen on Mexicali location with NOAA.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the Weather Widget settings in Plasma 6.
2. Search for "Mexicali" (Mexicali International Airport, BCN).
3. The widget automatically locks the Data Provider to "NOAA" and the interface
freezes/fails to fetch any data.
4. If you select another city, change the provider to OpenWeatherMap or Yr.no,
and then search for "Mexicali" again, the widget automatically switches back to
NOAA and breaks.
Actual result:
The widget hardcodes Mexicali to the broken NOAA MMML station, making it
impossible to use alternative providers for this specific location.
Expected result:
The user should be able to choose OpenWeatherMap or Yr.no for Mexicali without
the widget forcing a fallback to NOAA.
OS/Distribution: Fedora 44 (KDE Plasma)
