DESCRIPTION
I use multiple GTK 2 applications, such as MonoDevelop, due to a lack of viable
modern alternatives for my use cases. Since a recent update, whenever I try to
open any any combo boxes/dropdown menus or right click on anything within a GTK
2 application (or GTK 3 application under XWayland), the menu closes, choosing
the first option in the list, before I can do anything.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in to Plasma with Wayland (not X11)
2. Launch a GTK 2/3 application (like MonoDevelop, or GIMP) under XWayland
3. Click on any combo box or right click anywhere in the application
OBSERVED RESULT
The combo box closes immediately with the first option chosen
EXPECTED RESULT
The combo box stays open

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This was not an issue for me until this month. I did upgrade from Fedora 43 to
44 recently, so it seems to be a recent regression, though I unfortunately
don't know which version of Plasma and Qt it last worked on and if it actually
happened with the upgrade. It only seems to affect GTK 2 and 3 applications in
XWayland, not Qt applications or GTK 3 applications running natively.
It also works when logged in with X11. Only XWayland seems to be affected.
