            Bug ID: 520485
Summary: (Feature request) Make remote input actually function
                    as a touchpad
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdeconnect
      Version First 26.04.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: android-application
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
As I understand it, KDE Connect's remote input feature emulates a mouse. As the
most common use case is to use a phone or tablet (a device with a touch screen)
as a means to control a PC, it would make sense for it to emulate a touchpad
instead, so that pinch to zoom and other touchpad gestures work as expected.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch remote input with KDE Connect
2. Try pinch to zoom or other gesture

OBSERVED RESULT
Pinch to zoom, or any touchpad gesture, does not work, and scrolling isn't
pixel perfect like with a touchpad, but "stepped" like with a scroll wheel.

EXPECTED RESULT
Pinch to zoom works, touchpad gestures work, scrolling is pixel perfect, etc.
