DESCRIPTION
I upgraded from Kubuntu 25.10 LTS to 26.04 LTS and ran into a problem. I had to
run "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade" to upgrade my packages before
upgrading via the upgrade icon that appears in the taskbar to 26.04 LTS (it was
telling me I had to). After updating/upgrading all packages I proceeded to
update the OS to 26.04 LTS since now I was able to. When everything was
installed and good to go, I went to move my mouse and it would not "click". It
would move the cursor, but I could not actually click anything. Upon digging a
little further I found that running "kwin_wayland --replace &" would seem to
fix the issue. I also found another incomplete workaround which involved
turning on and off the mouse which would allow clicking to only work on the
window/area of the screen I would click. So clicking the browser window would
work but if I tried clicking anywhere else that is not the browser window, it
would not register the click.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Upgrade all packages with "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade"
1. Proceed to upgrade from 25.10 LTS to 26.04 LTS with a Logitech G PRO X
Gaming Mouse
2. Run "kwin_wayland --replace &"
3. Mouse clicks work properly.
OBSERVED RESULT
When upgrading to 26.04 LTS my mouse does not allow me to click anything on
screen despite being able to move the cursor. Running "kwin_wayland --replace
&" fixes mouse click issue.
EXPECTED RESULT
Mouse should be able to click upon updating/upgrading all packages and then
upgrading to 26.04 LTS from 25.10 LTS.
