            Bug ID: 520667
Summary: Error in holiday_ca-qc_fr - Jour de la Reine /
                    Victoria Day
    Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
           Product: frameworks-kholidays
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Kubuntu
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]

  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
On Kubuntu 24.04, the public holiday name "Jour de la Reine" defined in
"holiday_ca-qc_fr" appears on the wrong date in the calendar.

It is defined as ""Jour de la Reine (Journée nationale des patriotes)" public
on monday before may 24" in the file, and that seems valid - although in 2026
this holiday should be on May 18th, but it is shown as being on May 25th. So it
would seem that there is a condition failing.

This is the same holiday as defined in file "holiday_ca_en-gb" for holiday
"Victoria Day" - which is defined identically as ""Victoria Day" public on
monday before may 24". Is there a parsing issue with the french characters in
the holiday name? The english version of this holiday appears correctly on May
18th on the same system.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu 24.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.12
