On my systems with Plasma 6.6.5, and built from git-master, kiconfinder6 is able to find icons in the hicolor directory $ kiconfinder6 visual-studio-code.svg /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/visual-studio-code.svg $ kiconfinder6 org.remmina.Remmina.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/org.remmina.Remmina.png Both Remmina and VS Code pinned icons appear in the task manager correctly, with Papirus and other icon themes I'll leave this open so others can investigate further.
