As people already stated this only affects what the KCM shows, the actual
setting is applied correctly.

This happens specifically on Fedora because it ships a system-wide default
value in /usr/share/kde-settings/kde-profile/default/xdg/kwinrc

Setting the keyboard to "None" (correctly) writes InputMethod[$d] to kwinrc,
but because of a bug in KConfigSkeleton the UI doesn't reflect that correctly
