Correct, the default is as you stated. And I made an error when writing the
post. I tested every variant in the clipboard settings on that day, and to be
honest, when I test the problem mentioned today, it seems to be working now. 

I will continue to test and report back. This is very strange, I spent hours
testing different settings, and the only thing that helped was what I wrote in
my original post.

Oh well, I guess I must be crazy haha
