--- Comment #8 from Jacopo Torrini <[email protected]> ---
I have an update: the laptop has a maximum resolution of 1920x1200, while the
monitor has a maximum resolution of 1920x1024. Right after installing KDE neon,
when connecting the monitor through USB-C and leaving the laptop lid open, the
monitor resolution would automatically adapt to the laptop's one, shrinking the
desktop with a scaling factor. When I closed the lid, the monitor resolution
would automatically switch to 1920x1024, therefore removing the scaling factor.

By going into the display settings, I noticed that the laptop screen was marked
as disabled, even when opening the lid. I checked the "enabled" option, and now
rectangular screenshots work correctly, but the automatic resolution switching
no longer happens. Now, when I disconnect the monitor, I end up with a
1920x1024 resolution and I have to manually change it in the display settings.
The same happens when I connect the monitor and close the laptop lid: I have to
manually change the screen resolution every time.
