            Bug ID: 520943
Summary: linux.kde.org should mention that many linux distros
                    ship KDE
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: KDE Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
https://linux.kde.org/ admits "We’re not there yet" and "KDE Linux is Alpha
software", but doesn't explain that there are mature Linux distributions that
ship the KDE desktop.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Imagine you're a naive computer user and you've heard that Linux is a
promising alternative and KDE/Plasma is a good desktop, so you visit
linux.kde.org
2. Read the page.

OBSERVED RESULT
The page explains what it is and has some disclaimers, but nowhere does it
mention that, for now, most users might be better off installing a mature Linux
distribution that offers a KDE flavor/spin, with a link to
https://kde.org/distributions/

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
There's no product yet in bugs.kde.org for Websites > linux.kde.org

Maybe https://kde.org/distributions/ should mention that "KDE Linux is under
development".
