Bug ID: 520976
Summary: Some Actions not showing up in the Find Action bar
Classification: Applications
Product: kate
Version First 26.04.1
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: part
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
The "Find Action" bar does not show all available actions anymore. So far I've
found the following that are missing:
- Kate Part: Convert Indentation to Tabs
- Kate Part: Convert Indentation to Spaces
- Kate Part: Automatic Spell Checking
- Kate Part: Dynamic Word Wrap
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Version 26.04.01 of Kate
2. Open the Find Action Command Bar (Default Ctrl+Alt+I)
3. Try looking for any of the aforementioned actions.
OBSERVED RESULT
The actions do not show up in the search results
EXPECTED RESULT
The actions should show up in the search results
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
Kate Version: 26.04.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The behaviour is as expected for the following setup:
Operating System: Fedora Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.25.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
Kate Version: 25.12.3
I could only downgrade to Kate 25.12.3 using a Fedora VM. The actions were
still there in that version. I'm not sure in which exact version between
25.12.3 and 26.04.1 the actions have disappeared.
All of the mentioned Actions still exist in kate and can be assigned keybinds
or created as menu bar buttons. However they do not show up in the Find Action
bar.
I hope I'm posting this in the correct component, sorry if this is the wrong
place to report this <3
