            Bug ID: 521063
Summary: Trash size limit is calculated using the wrong drive
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
Trash size limit is calculated using the wrong drive. I have a 1TB SSD with KDE
Linux 202606030254 installed on it, and an 320 GB HDD mounted on
/home/user/HDD/. In the trash config, if I configure it to use 100% of my disk
space, it says 320 GB instead of 1TB.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Mount drive
2. Configure Trash to use 100% of drive

OBSERVED RESULT
It's using the wrong drive to calculate the maximum Trash size

EXPECTED RESULT
It should be using the drive where the system (and the actual Trash ?) is
installed.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE Linux 2026-06-03
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
Kernel Version: 7.0.10-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor
Memory: 32 Gio of RAM (31.3 Gio usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Now that I think of it, there's one Trash for each drive I think. So the issue
is maybe related to this. If I look into /home/user/HDD, there's a folder
.Trash-1000, which is filled with files that I deleted that were on the HDD.

Also I'm not sure if I should open another issue or not, but when I check the
properties of a folder which is in the trash, the free space and max space is
right (for the drive in which the folder was), but after a few seconds it
becomes 92.8 GB instead of 927.5 GB (when the file was on the SSD) or 292.3 GB
(when the file was on the HDD).

I wonder if this issue is maybe related :
