Bug ID: 521091
Summary: ADF / ADF Duplex not working for Brother MFC-J5740DW
Classification: Applications
Product: Skanpage
Version First 26.04.2
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
The Brother MFC-J5740DW has a document feeder "ADF" with duplex scan "ADF
(Duplex)", as well as a flatbed scanner. When using Skanpage and choosing
either ADF or ADF (Duplex), the device will always consume all pages, but
skanlite will show only the front page of the first page and ignore the rest.
I have gotten the device new and tested it in Windows (with Brother's
software), as well as with VueScan and NAPS2 on Arch Linux and in all those
cases, the ADF Duplex scan works fine.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Brother MFC-J5740DW via Wifi
2. Insert multiple pages into the feeder, preferably with duplex print
3. In Skanpage, choose the Brother device and select ADF Duplex as the scan
source
4. Choose scan and wait for the results
OBSERVED RESULT
The device consumes all pages, but Skanlite shows only the front page of the
first page
EXPECTED RESULT
Skanpage shows front and back pages of all pages
