DESCRIPTION
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the kate appimage.
2. Save a session. Sessions> Save Session As...
3. Closed kate
OBSERVED RESULT
Made the .desktop file on the start menu in Programming category even without
installing the kate apt package.
the org.kde.kate.desktop file at ~/.local/share/applications
EXPECTED RESULT
Nothing happens; no the .desktop file
