Classification: Applications
Product: krita
Version First 5.3.2.1

Status: REPORTED

Screenshot of window with checkboxes after "while painting with an eraser"
hidden.
DESCRIPTION
The Settings -> Configure Krita preferences window lacks scrollbars in the
detail pane. Resizing the window squashes the widgets, rendering them
unreadable and sometimes completely hiding them from the user.
As the preferences window keeps getting more widgets with each version, it will
soon become unusable on 1280x720 and 1366x768 screens.
Incidentally, considering the "General" category has 8 whole tabs in this
version and some other categories also have multiple tabs, an alternative worth
considering would be changing the navigation pane to a tree widget in order to
reduce the complexity and size of the detail pane.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the Configure Krita window
2. Click on the General -> Cursor tab.
3. Resize the window
OBSERVED RESULT
"Show Outline" checkbox gone.
EXPECTED RESULT
All widgets accessible.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
I'm on Linux Mint.
