Bug ID: 521145
Summary: Filters on SVG cursors do not scale properly when
cursor is enlarged
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.6.5
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
SVG cursors with filters applied (e.g. for shadows) do not seem to render the
filters at the native displayed size when the cursor is enlarged (e.g. during
shake-to-find), paths with filters do seem to scale well (up to a certain size
still, but that's unrelated I think) but ones with filters are still rendered
at the regular cursor size but stretched like a bitmap.
This is most notable when the chosen cursor size is small.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable shake-to-find
2. Select any Breeze cursor theme at 12px size
3. On a bright background, keep shaking the mouse until the cursor gets big
enough
OBSERVED RESULT
The shadow of the cursor looks low-resolution and linearly interpolated
EXPECTED RESULT
Should look just like if the user selected a higher cursor size to begin with,
which has a detailed shadow
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is much more noticeable in some other themes, but it can still be observed
with Breeze
