            Bug ID: 521189
Summary: Migrate from linear volume and brightness controls to
                    logarithmic.
    Classification: Plasma

DESCRIPTION
Currently, the brightness slider on KDE Plasma follow a linear scale.
This is not human-friendly. Humans perceive brightness (and volume) on a
logarithmic scale.
Consequentially, it *feels* like the first 10% of the brightness control 50% of
the brightness, and the first 50% controls 90%. This makes for a very rough and
unpolished-feeling UX.

Essentially, it's shower dial controls.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A solution to this is simple to programme. I myself have crudely implemented
one on my own device in only an evening.
>From a glance, it sounds like the volume controls *already* have this
implemented.
