Summary: Keyboard key presses get stuck and not being
processed/passed on for some time

DESCRIPTION
First I have to say I am not sure if this is KWin bug or some other system
component bug, but as far as I understand it is KWin wayland compositor that
now handless and passes all keyboard presses, if I am not mistaken.
For quite some time now it sometimes happens that keyboard presses just get
stuck for a few seconds. By that I mean even if I press any key no input is
visible in applications like Kate or anywhere else for a few seconds. And after
some time all the keys I have pressed get entered all at once so it looks like
the presses get remembered just not passed in real time as they are pressed. I
also noticed that there is a higher chance of this happening when some GPU/CPU
intensive application is runing (e.g. if I run BOINC with Einstean@Home
computation fully utilising GPU and CPU). So it appears to me the keyboard
input processing in KWin maybe does not have high enough priority or something.
Not sure since I don0t know the input path enough. Keyboard shortcuts like
Alt+Spave also stop working at that time, or F12 which is bound to
showing/hiding Yakuake console. During that time mouse pointer and clicks
function just fine.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have some app or something which accepts keyboard input and shows what you
type
2. Type something and observe the input field
OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing gets shown in the input field for a couple of seconds and after some
time all the pressed keys get dumped at once into the input field
EXPECTED RESULT
Pressed keys should be shown in real time as they are pressed without a delay
