SUMMARY

After plugging in a docking station, both the laptop's monitor and the external
monitor may be incorrectly flagged as primary monitors. This causes the taskbar
to appear on the laptop's monitor instead of the external monitor, which is set
as the primary display. Deactivating and reactivating the laptop's monitor
resolves the issue temporarily. The issue is not consistently reproducible.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Unsure how to clearly reproduce as of yet.
Reboot doesn't fix it.

OBSERVED RESULT

Both monitors may be flagged as primary desktops, and the taskbar may be
displayed on the laptop's monitor instead of the external monitor. Deactivating
and reactivating the laptop's monitor resolves the issue, a reboot doesn't.

See attached GIF.

EXPECTED RESULT

Only the external monitor should be flagged as the primary desktop, and the
taskbar should appear on the external monitor without requiring a manual
workaround.
