DESCRIPTION:
When starting Krita on my Lenovo Yoga 7 2 in 1 laptop (the screen on the laptop
is the tablet) the pen input will not draw or select anything. The mouse cursor
follow the pen but that's it. Not registering any touches at all on the tablet
tester in Krita, however my finger does register and I can paint using my
fingers so the touchscreen input works fine, its just not registering any pen
inputs.
My pen inputs perfectly fine on other applications like GIMP and MyPaint, there
is no problem at all, except with Krita and another application called
PixiEditor which exhibit the same behavior.
I am using the flatpak version of Krita, I have tried the appimage and the Snap
version of Krita and it's the same behavior, no pen input.
WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
1) Using appimage and snap versions of Krita: Behavior persists on all
iterations.
2) Using Flatseal to give Krita all hardware permissions: No change in behavior
3) Downgrading display compositor version: No change in behavior
4) Resetting pen/screen/tablet settings to default on device
5) Uninstalling then reinstalling Krita
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Krita (Using flatpak version in my case but issue persists on all
versions)
2. Try using pen input to paint or select things.
OBSERVED RESULT:
Mouse will follow pen, but pen doesn't register any touches, cannot select any
UI elements in Krita either with pen.
Finger touches register.
Mouse/laptop touchpad works fine.
EXPECTED RESULT:
For the pen to work in krita to select UI elements and to use brushes, tools.
