This will make it easier for everybody to reproduce the issue:
Not just sftp is affected by this bug, but also removable devices.

Tested on Tumbleweed and Neon User Edition 20260528-1324.

* Open Dolphin and disable the places panel (F9).
* Attach a USB drive to your PC.
* Only if you're on a virtual machine: attach the USB device to the VM.
* Mount the USB device with the Disk & Devices applet. Important: just mount,
do not "mount and open".
* Copy a file or folder e.g. from the home directory.
* Open a second Dolphin window (Ctrl-N).
* Used the drop down places menu in the location bar to navigate to "Removable
Devices -> <removale media>".
* Paste to this location (Ctrl-V).

This will result in the error "Cannot paste: The clipboard is empty".
