Bug ID: 521297
Summary: Cannot remove scrollbar marks
Classification: Applications
Product: konsole
Version First 25.04.2
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
KDE6 introduced a new feature for konsole in which double-clicking on the
scroll bar leaves places there marked in a different color for the rest of the
life of the process.
This feature cannot be deactivated and interferes with normal clicking motions
if one is fast enough with clicks. There isn't even an option to clear the
scrollbar of these markings, and they stay after resetting the scrollbar too.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch konsole.
2. Issue a lot of commands so that the view would be scrollable.
3. Double-click somewhere in the scrollbar.
4. After noticing the red marks and deciding that the feature is not useful for
you, try to get rid of those marks.
OBSERVED RESULT
Not possible to deactivate scroll marks, not possible to clean them. For
example, try hamburger menu -> 'Clear Scrollback and Reset'; or just 'Clear
Scrollback'.
EXPECTED RESULT
Should let me deactivate scroll marks in the settings so that double clicks do
not trigger anything, and should let me clear the scrollbar of them.
