I have been searching for the bug report I filed with no luck. If I remember correctly, KMM 5.2 now checks the consistency of the file when it's opened and it won't open if there is problem. The problem is that earlier versions did not check for consistency so a long standing consistency problem was okay until 5.2. I don't think we ever figured out what caused the original inconsistency but mine issues were from more than 10 years ago. There was a workaround that I used until I finally found and deleted the abandoned transactions. I wish I could remember more or at least find the bug report.
