Bug ID: 521346
Summary: Start, pause, reset buttons are confusing
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.6.5
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Timer widget
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
Having a start, pause and reset button is rather confusing as they are always
all active.
If the timer is reset, it makes little sense to click on "reset" again or on
"pause".
If it's running, it makes little sense to click on running again. etc.
I would propose to change it the following way:
- Disable reset if the timer is actually reset, otherwise enable it.
- Remove the "pause" button.
- Make the "Start" button a three mode button: "Start" becomes "Pause" and
"Pause" becomes "Continue" on click. On reset it becomes "Start" again
