DESCRIPTION
Wishlist: Allow Parent accounts to be set as non-ledger accounts. This will
allow them to be used as containers of other accounts and disallow any
transactions on their ledgers.
I tend to create a parent account that I use to group other accounts: for
example, I create a hierarchy as such:
Assets: Current Assets: Checking Accounts
Assets: Current Assets: Checking Accounts: Checking_001
Assets: Current Assets: Checking Accounts: Checking_002
Assets: Current Assets: Checking Accounts: Checking_003
In this example, Assets, Current Assets, and Checking Accounts would be
"parent" accounts.
Parent accounts a good to group several other accounts for organizational
purposes and in the Accounts view, you can see the roll up by Parent Accounts.
Also in the reports, you can see that roll up.
