Bug ID: 521354
Summary: Unable to update KDEneon using discover (dependency
resolution failed)
Classification: KDE Neon
Product: neon
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Packages User Edition

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When I use Discover to update KDEneon I get an error message and can't update
the system (flatpack and snap updates work fine)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Discover
2. Update System
OBSERVED RESULT
Discover displays an error message:

Auflösung der Abhängigkeit fehlgeschlagen:

The following
packages have unmet dependencies:
libpyside6-py3-6.11: Kollidiert mit: libpyside6-py3-6.9
libshiboken6-py3-6.11: Kollidiert mit: libshiboken6-py3-6.9
Beschädigt: libshiboken6-py3-6.9 (< 6.11.0~)

EXPECTED RESULT
One click update how Discover usually works.
For me this bug report is more about how an ordinary user should be able to
handle this situation. I think I could may update the system or it's parts via
the command line. However, I don't think that this is really applicable for the
ordinary user who does not know what to do.
The expected result therefore may is to update everything that is possible to
update (in my case 296 packages wait to be updated). As ordinary user I would
also expect a solution for the problem or to error out quietly. I would have no
problem if an error message is send to the developers so it can be fixed in the
background.
