--- Comment #22 from Oded Arbel <[email protected]> --- (In reply to CerialPhreak from comment #21) > Stumbled on this trying to sort out why Yakuake was opening beneath windows > and solved that as well as the original bug described here. In System > Settings > Window Management > Window Behavior and set Focus stealing > prevention to "None". This workaround works for me. I didn't know disabling focus stealing prevention disables the requirement for an activation token to raise windows, and it is an interesting effect - but I don't think that it should be a requirement for properly using Yakuake. I suggest keeping this ticket open for a few reasons: 1. The feature this ticket is about kind of also relies on Yakuake being able to set "on all desktops" and "keep above others" (as discussed in the notes), which is currently not possible on KWin Wayland (the Window Rule workaround is documented here as well). 2. There's some kind of ongoing work to have "global shortcut activation permissions" which would solve this issue more elegantly - and without destroying a different useful feature - in https://invent.kde.org/utilities/yakuake/-/merge_requests/91 and https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kglobalaccel/-/merge_requests/129 - I think slated for 6.8? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
