            Bug ID: 521382
Summary: Keyboard layout totally screwed up when ssh'ing to
                    Windows from Konsole 26.04
    Classification: Applications
           Product: konsole
      Version First 26.04.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: grave
          Priority: NOR
         Component: keyboard
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

When ssh'ing to a Windows 11 machine (running Microsoft's port of openssh, the
shell is cmd.exe) from a Konsole tab, the keyboard layout becomes such a mess
that it's impossible to operate Windows. For instance, the : key pops up "enter
char to copy up to" and when I hit b, Windows will receive two b's. I'm using a
German keyboard layout.

Steps to reproduce:
1. install konsole 26.04.2
2. select a German keyboard layout (don't know whether this is necessary)
3. ssh to a Windows machine
3. type b:

Observed result: bb, followed by "enter char to copy up to"
Expected result: b:

Sometimes, after terming ssh to Windows (by typing exit, which surprisingly
works), all keys are remapped, apparently to some ANSI escape sequences.

Operating system: Gentoo Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.25.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
