Maybe it would be good to have middle-click and drag draw out the shape
"rectangle/ellipse" as a filled shape sampling colour from the pixel you click
on, as an ephemeral option that would ignore stroke and not change the fill
option.

It should be easy to implement and be an appropriately power-user thing.
