Bug ID: 521495
Summary: Cannot save file if it contains a layer in a different
color space
Classification: Applications
Product: krita
Version First 5.3.2.1
Reported In:
Platform: Mint (Debian based)
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: General
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
I have files created in older versions of Krita that now throw an error when I
try to save them. They have layers created by importing photos with different
color spaces, when I convert the color space (quickest way is by merging it
with a blank layer) I'm able to save again.
The specific color space is: RGB/Alpha (8-bit integer/channel), sRGB
IEC61966-2.1
I haven't tested if it happens with other color spaces too.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open attached file
2. Try to save
3. Error pops up:
"Could not save /home/user/Downloads/test.kra
Unknown error.
The metadata backend failed to save the metadata for Background.
Failed to save the metadata for layer Background."
OBSERVED RESULT
File isn't saved
EXPECTED RESULT
File should be saved
