DESCRIPTION
The Mouse & Touchpad > Touchpad > Disable while typing setting appears to be
broken.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install KDE on Linux.
2. Ensure the previously mentioned "Disable while typing" setting is checked.
3. Enable Tapping: Tap-to-click. (Optional. Makes the behaviour more obvious.)
4. Start typing in a textbox somewhere, and palm the trackpad. Notice that the
trackpad activates.
OBSERVED RESULT
The trackpad should be disabled while typing. The mouse should not move, and
any clicks should not be registered.
EXPECTED RESULT
The trackpad is enabled while typing. The mouse moves, and clicks are
registered.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux 6.18 / Fedora Asahi Remix 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5 / 6.7.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0 / 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I first observed this under Fedora Asahi Remix 44 w/ KDE 6.7, but noticed it
was reproducible on my other computer running Arch Linux with KDE 6.6.5.
