Backtraced Crash Report of plasmashell accessed via the "Plasmashell has closed
unexpectedly" error window

DESCRIPTION
Plasmashell closes unexpectedly on startup when two displays are connected.
This results in a black desktop, unstable applications, and various other
issues noted in the Observed Result section. Upon a restart, if only one
display is connected, then the system boots normally.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect two separate displays into the PC
2. Start PC with KDE Fedora Plasma installed
3. (If using Grub Menu) boot with any Linux Kernel available (I tried both
7.0.12-201 and 6.19.10-300)

OBSERVED RESULT
System boots to a black desktop, with the task manager bar being missing and
completely inaccessible. However, startup apps do still appear as if the system
was booting normally. Interacting with the opened apps is relatively stable,
but every once in a while they will suddenly slow down and crash. An error
window of "plasmashell has closed unexpectedly" repeatedly opens while in this
state as well. Shortcut commands such as ctrl-alt-t to open terminal and
ctrl-alt-F3 to open fullscreen terminal work normally. Control-Alt-Delete works
normally and can be used to restart the computer.

EXPECTED RESULT
System should boot normally without a black desktop, showing all basic
features, and apps being consistently stable and usable.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Linux 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor
Memory: 32 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super
Graphics Driver: nvidia v595.80 linux driver

For some additional context, I started having this issue a couple days ago when
my house's power company had some sort of issue which resulted in a brief
flicker in power. My PC was idle after starting up at the time, so I went to
check on its status and this started happening. I dual-boot with a Windows 11
installation on this system so I tested booting with that, and I was able to
boot and restart multiple times on that OS with no graphical issues. Since this
(hopefully) rules out the graphics card itself being the issue, I can only
assume this is a KDE, Fedora, or graphics driver problem. Hopefully the
backtrace I've attached will help narrow down which one of those it is.

Additionally, I reinstalled Fedora KDE Plasma outright yesterday to see if that
would fix the issue. It actually briefly worked and I was able to use the new
installation with two monitors normally after installing the nvidia graphics
driver, but after I restarted the computer for the 3rd time the issue occurred
again and did not go away.

Some further testing I've done:

Using each monitor individually - each monitor works on its own, so no apparent
issue with the monitors themselves

Reinstalling nvidia graphics drivers - no change

Reinstalling kde plasma packages - no change
