Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the automatic light/dark theme switching on
Fedora KDE.

I set the appearance/theme mode to “Automatic”, but the system often gets stuck
in dark mode and does not switch back to light mode automatically. When this
happens, I have to change the theme manually to restore the expected
appearance.

Expected behavior:
The system should automatically switch between light mode and dark mode
according to the automatic mode settings.

Actual behavior:
The system often remains stuck in dark mode, even when it should switch back to
light mode.

System information:
Operating System: Fedora Linux 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
Kernel Version: 7.0.12-201.fc44.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® N95
Memory: 16 GiB RAM, 15.4 GiB usable
Graphics Processor: Intel® Graphics

Additional information:
I am using the X11 session, not Wayland.
The problem does not happen every time, but it happens frequently enough to be
noticeable.
The automatic mode seems to switch to dark mode, but later it often fails to
return to light mode.

Could you please confirm whether this is a known KDE Plasma issue, a Fedora KDE
packaging issue, or a configuration-related problem?

Thank you.
