DESCRIPTION
System freezes completely when changing brightness using the Plasma Brightness
and Color widget. The freeze mostly occurs after startup when using keyboard
brightness hotkeys or widget. The system becomes unresponsive and requires a
hard power-off.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect an external monitor via HDMI.
2. Log into a Plasma Wayland session.
3. Open the Brightness and Color widget and move either brightness slider (or
press brightness hotkeys).
OBSERVED RESULT
The entire system freezes. Mouse, keyboard, and desktop stop responding. A hard
power-off is required.
EXPECTED RESULT
Brightness should change normally without freezing the system.
