It's an Arch system with plasma-login-manager package version 6.7.0-1, which has ExecStartPre=-udevadm settle --timeout=10 I also only get a black screen with mouse pointer (not a flashing cursor). I have an Intel 240H with only integrated graphics (Asus NUC 15 Pro), and connect to my monitor through thunderbolt. With help, I added another ExecStartPre to the service file, with /usr/bin/sleep 2, which seems to work. Sleep 1 was not enough. I'll also attach a journalctl log from boot when it was failing.
