                    key on hold
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: Plasma Keyboard
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:

                OS: Linux

  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION

With the update to KDE 6.7, when virtual keyboard is enabled, repeated key
press via "holding the key down" results in either (a) an accent key menu or
(b) no action - which includes no key repeat.

This makes use of vi based editors a bit frustrating (since I hold `j` or `k`
to scroll)

Discovered on Fedora 44

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install kde 6.7
2. vi /etc/passwd
3. hold "k"
4. see accent character menu
5. go to keyboard settings, hold key in test menu
5. Disable virtual on screen keyboard
6. hold "k" in vi session to see it repeate

OBSERVED RESULT
Held character does not repeat and instead shows accent menu

EXPECTED RESULT
Held key repeats as before
