DESCRIPTION
After I use KDE Linux from possibly minutes to hours, this just starts
happening, with no apparent trigger event.
What starts is this:
Move the mouse, and the focused window vanishes, and only the desktop is
visible. If there was another window under the focused one, I will see that
one.
Move the mouse around some more and at some point the original focused window
will reappear.
If instead I type an arrow key, the window will always reappear immediately.
Once this disappearing act starts, it just continues indefinitely.
If I happened to be in the cell of a Libreoffice Calc spreadsheet, and the
window vanishes, then anything I type will be in the cell when the window
reappears.
I tried two screen recordings with Spectacle. On those, THE WINDOW NEVER
DISAPPEARS, so they are useless in showing what is happening. But it's
interesting that as far as Spectacle is concerned, the window is always
displayed.
I use workspace-per-app. Sometimes other workspaces will be ok, but sometimes
one or more other ones will also be having the problem.
Mostly my apps are flatpaks - emacs, vivaldi, betterbird, libreoffice. I've
seen the problem with all of them except vivaldi.
In prepping this bug report, I've also seen it with the System Info window
(which was in one of my screen recording attempts).
I also want to call your attention to the fact my laptop uses AMD Integrated
graphics, as this was relevant in a bug a while ago.
I'm not in KDE Linux while reporting this, because it becomes very difficult to
use once the problem starts. I will update this bug with my refresh rate info
after I boot into KDE Linux again
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Can't provide any. The only way we might catch this one is if you tell me what
to check while it's happening.
