--- Comment #6 from Prajna Sariputra <[email protected]> --- I am still unable to type the " or ! characters in Gmail in Firefox with Plasma 6.7.1 from the Arch repos if I have the diacritics popup enabled, and the behavior of the popup replacing already typed characters is still there, albeit less consistent now, so for that use case I still have to disable the popup in order to type those characters. In addition, now that it is possible to get the full virtual keyboard to appear without a touchscreen I also tested that, and it too is unable to type the ! or " symbols, regardless of whether the diacritics popup setting is enabled or not. Among all the characters the virtual keyboard can output given the layout (the spacebar says "British English") only those two characters I mentioned (" and !) are broken, all the others work. Given that the virtual keyboard itself appears to be flat out unable to type those characters rather than just the hardware keyboard with the diacritics popup enabled, should I file a separate bug report or just reopen this one?
