Bug ID: 522185
Summary: composer/pgp signing: composer creates invalid
signature when attaching vcards using the Contacts
menu
Classification: Applications
Product: kmail2
Version First 6.7.2
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: composer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
>From what i observed PGP Signing will fail when attaching a vCard directly from
the saved contacts. The email will still send and show just fine in the sent
Folder, but on the recieving Email it will show "Signature created using an
unknown certificate with fingerprint XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX". The issue persists
if copying the mail back to the sent folder from the recieving inbox. I could
not reproduce the issue with any other attachment, and attaching the vcf as
normal attachment from a file also works fine.
Reproduce:
1. Have Kmail ready with 2 Accounts, PGP Signing key and have at least 1
Contact saved.
2. New Email -> Attach -> Attach vCards...
3. Attach some contact and then send the email to your recieving address.
4. In the sent folder it will be fine but the recieved email will show the
error mentioned above.
