[plasmashell] [Bug 522096] Often, after a long resume on an Nvidia GPU, my desktop on the primary monitor in my multi-mon setup renders all black. However, all windows and desktop interactions on that monitor continue to function.

Can you confirm that your system is set up per
https://community.kde.org/Distributions/Packaging_Recommendations#Proprietary_NVidia_driver_configuration?

If it's not, can you make those changes, reboot, and see if the issue stops
happening?
