Bug ID: 522292
Summary: System Freezes for a few seconds when waking up from
Sleep
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasma-login-manager
Version First 6.7.1
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When the sleep button is pressed, instead of it suspending immediately like it
used to do in previous versions, it locks the system and is responsive for a
few seconds and then goes to sleep.
When the system wakes up, it is completely frozen for some time (~10-15s),
after which my primary monitor is still frozen, but my secondary (laptop
screen) refreshes (sometimes black text appears for a split second) and only
then I am able to type in the password and log in (on the secondary monitor).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press the sleep button anywhere eg. the Application Launcher
2. Wake the computer up from sleep
OBSERVED RESULT
There is a few seconds of delay when sleeping and the system is frozen for some
time after waking up
EXPECTED RESULT
Sleeping and waking up should be instant without any freezes
