Summary: Changing resolution doesn't revert/wait for
                    confirmation after being selected
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: Plasma Bigscreen
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Homescreen
          Assignee: [email protected]

  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION

When changing display resolution in the sidebar, there is no confirmation or
revert timeout as expected. The settings are immediately applied and saved. Can
lead to pretty severe issues, being stuck with a black-screen if an unsupported
resolution setting is selected.
(Additionally, the display setting doesn't have an "apply" button but auto
applies after changing the scale value, which is undesirable behavior, separate
but related issue)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter Bigscreen, go to display settings
2. Select an resolution unsupported by current display
3. Apply (by toggling the "scale" setting)

OBSERVED RESULT

Immediate black-screen, no ability to revert.

EXPECTED RESULT

Revert after timeout in instance where resolution is unsupported. Pop-up dialog
to confirm current settings are correct in case where there is no error.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window):

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Tested in both Fedora and Arch, with same behaviour in both instances. Similar
to 518743 bug, but specific behaviour of Bigscreen:
