Additional info: EDID analysis (attached edid_output1.txt = Samsung
C24FG70 on DP-1, edid_output2.txt = Dell P1911 on DP-2 [physically a
DP-to-VGA adapter built into the motherboard, not a native VGA output
on the GPU]).

- Samsung C24FG70: native/preferred mode is 1920x1080 @ 143.98 Hz
  (144Hz FreeSync gaming monitor).
- Dell P1911: native/preferred mode is 1440x900 @ 59.89 Hz.

The large refresh-rate mismatch (144Hz vs 60Hz) between the two
outputs on the same amdgpu adapter may be the relevant factor, rather
than just the resolution mismatch — this matches a known pattern
(e.g. bugs.kde.org #465712 "periodic visual glitches when monitors'
refresh rates don't match").

Update: tested lowering the Samsung C24FG70's refresh rate from 144Hz
to 60Hz (matching the Dell P1911's 59.89Hz) from within the Plasma
session. The greeter flicker/duplication issue persists identically
after this change, ruling out refresh-rate mismatch as the primary
cause.
